NEWS & NOTES

Byron Leftwich is questionable this week after hurting the same ankle he broke last season. It'd be wise to pick up David Garrad because Leftwich will most likely be a game-time decision and playing either QB against Houston would be smart.

Another Jaguar on the mend is WR Matt Jones. He will be out again this week as he is still recovering from his hamstring injury. He may be back next week.

A weekly member of News & Notes, Brian Westbrook missed a portion of practice again this week, but after practicing on Friday, he's apparently ready to start on Sunday.

Backup Bengals RB Chris Perry has been removed for the Physically Unable to Perform list and will be back on the field this Sunday. He should steal some touches from Rudi Johnson each week from this point on.

Ahman Green, who was questionable all week, was upgraded to probable in the team's injury report. He's likely to play, but will probably lose touches to his capable backup RBs.

Seahawks TE Jerramy Stevens will make his first appearance of the year on Sunday after hurting his knee in the offseason. He's still not a fantasy starter, but if you're getting killed by the bye weeks, you could play him on Sunday.

It appears that Mark Brunell's days as Redskins QB could be numbered as some Redskins officials have said a switch to Jason Campbell at QB could happen sooner than expected.

After practicing for an increased amount this week, Donte' Stallworth is expected to be back in the lineup for the first time since week 4. He should be started in all leagues if he truly is healthy.

After his brutal week 1 injury, Trent Green has been cleared to practice by doctors. He will most likely be back in the lineup for their week 9 game against St. Louis.

Colts kicker Adam Viniteiri will be kicking field goals for the first time in a month on Sunday.
