DAUNTING DECISIONS
This is really a great time of year for sports fans. The MLB baseball playoffs have began which means there is only one week left for Detroit fans to be distracted from the Lions. Also, a huge week is looming in the NFL with the return of Terrell Owens to Philadelphia, as well as many key division games. And, if you're one of those three people out there who care, the NHL is back!! With so much going on it's no wonder you need a little help with your lineup this week.
The Entire Colts Offense- There are four games this year where playing every Colt is a great play: the two games against Houston and the two games against Tennessee. It's obvious to play Peyton and the WRs every week, but this should also be a very strong week for Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes. With the Colts most likely up big early, there should be a lot of carries to go around.
Tom Brady- This is going to be the week that Brady breaks out for the Patriots. There was a clear improvement in his play last week against the Bengals, and the timing between him and his new WRs seems to be there. Brady should throw a pair of touchdowns and get up near 300 yards again against the weak Dolphins secondary.
Terry Glenn- Oh yes, it's that other Cowboys WR. The Eagles will be so hyped up to shut down Terrell Owens that they are bound to lose focus much on Bledsoe's favorite target. It also helps that the Eagles secondary is severely beat up, with both Lito Sheppard and Roderick Hood likely to miss the game. Glenn should be good for another huge day.
Troy Williamson- The second year WR has been pretty impressive so far, but is yet to have a bust out game this season. With a date against Detroit's atrocious secondary looming, this should be the date. Detroit's run defense isn't that bad, which will give Minnesota even more reason to throw. He is yet to catch a TD this season, but Sunday should be the day.
Derrick Mason- The Ravens number one WR hasn't gotten off to a very strong start this season despite being reunited with former teammate Steve McNair. He's poised for a breakout week soon, but this will not be the week. He'll go up against Champ Bailey, which will mean very little production.
Rex Grossman- Yes, he's been off to a hot start. Yes, he's better than we all thought he was. Yes, he probably has evolved into a top 10 fantasy QB. No, don't start him this week. Buffalo's defense is vastly underrated, and they should give Grossman fits this week. This should be a very low scoring game that is decided by the run and turnovers.
Tatum Bell- Fantasy football's hated rival Mike Shanahan said that Tatum Bell would become the featured back in the Denver's running game. Honestly, with his track record this could mean anything. Going up against a tough Baltimore defense, I think he will be relatively ineffective, and we should see a fair share of Mike Bell.
