FANTASY MD

As it was feared earlier the week, Clinton Portis will miss the remainder of the season due to his broken hand. Ladell Betts and TJ Duckett should split carries the rest of the way for the Redskins.

Santana Moss made it through the Redskins game on Sunday, but afterwards he still complained about soreness in his hamstring. He is listed as questionable again which suggests he is still not 100%. However, he should play again this week and be a little better of a matchup.

Packers backup RB Vernand Morency was upgraded to questionable for this week's game. Coach McCarthy is a big believer in Morency so if healthy, he will definitely steal some carries from Ahman Green. While Green enjoyed a nice run while Morency was out, he should still be productive even in his return.

Another Packers injury update. Their budding WR Greg Jennings is probable this week. He played hurt the past two weeks so this suggests he'll be healthier than he has been the last couple of games. Injury is no longer a concern, but instead the matchup with the Patriots should scare owners.

Although it was originally said to be a 2-4 week injury, Bernard Berrian has been listed as questionable after missing only one game. There's no need to rush Berrian back, but the Bears will play him if he's healthy and that is looking to be the case.

Joe Horn said he could have played last week, which makes it even more likely that he will play this Sunday against the Bengals. He is listed as questionable, but he has been practicing this week. He faces a very favorable matchup against a defense that was torn apart last week.

Matt Hasselbeck is listed as questionable and has practiced this week. Coach Holmgrem said he would decide on Friday if it would be Hasselbeck or Senaca Wallace behind center. It's a total toss up right now, so we'll see what he decides tomorrow.

Shaun Alexander is basically the same story as his QB. He's listed as questionable, practiced this week, but clearly is not yet 100%. It's more likely that Maurice Morris will start again for Seattle after coming off two great performances.

The highly touted rookie TE Vernon Davis is becoming closer and closer to playing again. He was upgraded to questionable this week, and he has been practicing this week. It looks like he'll play which gives the surprisingly improved 49ers offense another weapon. Niners over Seahawks is my upset special this week.

Late in the 49ers game against the Lions their RB Frank Gore suffered a concussion. He's listed as questionable, but it appears like he will play. He's only participated in a few drills during practice. If Gore could not go, Michael Robinson and Maurice Hicks would split carries.

After hurting his groin on Sunday, Ronnie Brown missed two straight practices. He's listed as questionable and will most likely be a game-time decision. Either way he has a poor matchup against the Vikings' number one rush defense.

Once again Byron Leftwich will be out this week. It looks like he is leaning towards season-ending surgery which means David Garrard will be the man for the rest of the season. If he plays well, Leftwich could be run out of town as the Jaguars QB.

The Browns RB Reuben Droughns suffered a sprained foot in their game last Sunday. He's questionable for their next game and has been walking around in a protective boot. It's unlikely he will play Sunday which means Jason Wright will start at tailback.

Although David Carr is listed as questionable this week with a shoulder injury, all signs point to him playing. He's practiced this week, so he'll most likely be the team's QB on Sunday.

It turns out the WR David Givens has been a complete bust for the Titans this season. After being the team's big free agent signing he finished with 8 catches for 104 yards before being put on IR. The Titans' WR core is a mess, and none of them are much of a desirable option.

After being injured early in the team's first game, Trent Green will make his return to the field Sunday as the team's starting QB. The Chiefs were very cautious with him so he should be at full strength. He faces a tough matchup against a good Raiders secondary.

One weapon that Green won't have is TE Tony Gonzalez. Although it appears like he'll miss less than the originally thought 2-3 weeks with his shoulder injury, Gonzalez will definitely be out Sunday against Oakland. The Cheifs should rely heavily on Larry Johnson all day.

Aaron Brooks is healthy enough to play this week, but Art Shell won't make the official call until Sunday. Whether it's Aaron Brooks or Andrew Walter, the Raiders starting QB should not be your fantasy QB.

After playing last week and being unproductive, Tatum Bell is once again listed as questionable. He should play again and have another tough matchup against San Diego. If Mike Bell is back, he should split carries with Tatum.
