MONDAY NIGHT RECAP: SEATTLE BACKS UP A WIN

There was really no way to hype this Monday Night game, and why should it have been? Seneca Wallace and the Seahawks facing Andrew Walter and the Raiders. The story was the Seattle Seahawks though. Prior to the season it seemed like one of the few locks in the NFL that Seattle would return to the playoffs. However, injuries have ravaged the Seahawks, sidelining their MVP running back and franchise QB. In such a situation, those stepping in have to raise to the occasion. America, meet seen Maurice Morris and Senenca Wallace. Virtually unknown outside the pacific northwest, both players knew that in order to make a playoff run, it was they who had to step up. What a greater stage than Monday Night. There's no way to hype Seneca Wallace and Maurice Morris, well, except for Monday Night football.

Seneca Wallace- I've said it the last couple weeks, and I'll say it again. The Raiders defense is pretty good. That being said, Wallace did a nice job of managing the game and leading his team to victory. He's predominately a rushing QB, as shown by his 49 on the ground, but he had a respectable 176 yards passing and a TD. While Wallace shouldn't be a starter in the NFL, he still can be productive while he plays. If you're extremely desperate for a QB next week, Wallace plays St. Louis which isn't a horrendous matchup.

Maurice Morris- The backup RB had been talked up as one of the few backups that could start in the NFL, but since he replace Shaun Alexander he really had not showed any glimpse of that promise. Well finally Morris busted out for 138 yards on 30 carries. The Seahawks have him locked up for awhile so the chances of him starting are slim, so he's not too valuable in keeper leagues. Alexander should be back next week, killing any value he had.

Deion Branch- The newly acquired Branch has played very well for the Seahawks so far this season. He's the perfect WR to be paired with Darrell Jackson, and they have put up similar stats since playing together. He has 3 TDs since coming to Settle, and he should benefit greatly once Matt Hasselbeck returns.

Lamont Jordan- The Raiders thought that Jordan would be the answer to their problems at RB, and unfortunately that has not been so case through his one and a half years with the team. He's a mediocre RB who's very inconsistent. Last season he had 70 receptions, however this season he's on pace for 16. He's also not 100% healthy which is part of the reason. He's really an all-around terrible option for fantasy RBs.

Randy Moss- The WR who was once the best in football continued his recent better play by catching 6 balls for 76 yards. He's still nowhere near what he used to be, but he has been improved. Lately, he's been dealing with problems around dropping the football. All being considered, it's not a very good situation for Moss in Oakland, and expect him and Jerry Porter to be dealt during the offseason.
